About Me

I am currently a second-year PhD student at David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Dr. Jian Zhao. Previously I completed my Master of Mathematics degree in Waterloo, also with Dr. Jian Zhao. Before that, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at University of Toronto.

My research explores how knowledge workers communicate partially formed intentions to generative AI, and how delegating parts of the thinking process to AI affects their cognitive effort, judgement, and actions. I study this process across social communication, ideation, and design. Through empirical studies, I aim to design interactions that support people in forming their intentions and deciding which parts of the thinking process to delegate.
